Personally, I do believe that the Touch sounds better.
If we assume that the data is accurate via both the Touch and SB3, that
doesn't leave many explanations apart from jit

My Touch is again experiencing issues with refusing to go into standby.
A workaround for this would be a button on the remote which could cycle
through the screen brightness, as per the SB3.

Did you try the Factory settings reset? As mentioned, I did that after
playing around and not getting that far with the initial scan. It's
performed flawlessly since.

USB drive (the wrong way, oops). The Touch has still performed
flawlessly.

I used the factory reset option, restarted it, then setup to scan my USB
HDD. Worked a treat. Scanned the whole lot in 25 mins, then played
everything with zero issues.
Big thumbs up from me.

only additional point that I'd like from the Touch would be
the option of audio streaming via a HDMI connection, but that's only
because my long term plans include the use of a Meridian HD621, which
is best served by that type of connection.

Look on the bright side of it. It's the first time I remember reading
an official release date timeframe from Logitec. Yes, I know we'd all
have liked them prior to Xmas, but being fair, May is only a couple of
months away now, so we're nearly there.

1. Screen brightness
2. Text size
3. Disable volume control and set it to max
4. Change the choice of screen to display the track Title, Artist and
Album
5. Enable shuffle by genre
6. Listen by genre
Those are the most critical things I use.
