server and accessing the wma lossless files from the WD USB hard drive
hooked directly to that touch seems to operate just fine...artwork

Ok..now I understand what the purpose of this update is. I wasn't aware
until tonight that I was not able to use my WMA lossless files when

If you have an external server you can upgrade that to 7.6, then when
you connect the Touch to it it will automatically upgrade the firmware.

There seems to be a slight glitch with the artwork scan with this 7.6
version. I reverted back to the latest 7.5 beta and it did an artwork
scan as a part of the initial new or changed music scan. That brought
all of the artwork back to normal. I never noticed the 7.6 version
doing an artwork scan

I have it installed. When I first started up the SBS with the new
software, it went into scanning for new music mode, and when it was
done, there were only two CD's showing up.
I did a delete and complete rescan, and it finished showing no CD's at
all. I then rescanned for new music and all thou

OK what you're describing really has nothing to do with this, you
basically did the same thing you can do with FLAC by wrapping the DTS
bitstream in another container. That's the only way you can do
multichannel with a Squeezebox.

No, because they are stereo devices. WMA does support downmixing to stereo
which I haven't yet enabled but plan to look at soon. I think the only way to
get surround playback with WMA is with a PC soundcard.
