If you are talking about something like Dolby Digital or DTS then the Touch cannot do that. It sends out standard two channel PCM S/PDIF. There is a way to fake this, you can get DTS or Dolby Digital multi-channel files encoded as standard two channel WAV files, these will play on the Touch as l

I habe conncted my Squeezebox Touch to my AV receiver Denon AVR-3312 with a digital optical cable. How can i switch the optical output of the Squeezebox Touch to Bitstream so that the receiver (and not the Squeezebox Touch) does the decoding? Thank you for your support and best regards -- Sw
