one area you may need to check is your speaker settings. If the front
speakers are set to large then the sub will only work through a DSP
setting or 5.1 signal. If you set your front speakers to small then all
low freq below 80 hertz will be sent to the sub. no matter what setting
you are using.
Have fun and enjoy the music factory reset is your friend :)
Good catch by other posters to find out the pure direct mode migth
support the sub anyway ?
Wonder if not this pure direct modes comes from the analog 2 ch pass

front 2 speakers plus subwoofer in pure direct before I moved it. I'll
check the submenus again though in case I've missed something. Meanwhile

OK so in a timely coincidence I was at a mates house and fiddling with
his Denon receiver. His is an older model but I noticed a setting for
main+sub in the menu.
On his receiver this makes the sub active in direct mode so may achieve
what you want.

Many thanks for the reply. I already had the amp configured as you
suggest and it was working fine before I moved it. But you're right it
is an amp issue. After much experimentation I did a factory reset. It
now works in the default mode but in the 'pure direct' high quality
sound mode the subwoof

Hi
I have a peculiar problem I hope someone can help me with.
Because of decorating I had to dismantle my hifi. Now I've rebuilt it
there's a peculiar problem. My SBT outputs sound to the two front
speakers (of a 5.1 system) but the subwoofer - which was previously
working fine - now no longer k
