Just FYI, I had a brief exchange with Frank in Comcast's customer
relations dept. (he's @comcastcares on Twitter, and generally a pretty
honest guy) - he says "No ETA on BBCA HD". So...there you are.

Not a lie -- surely they're giving the HD feed to anyone with whom
they've completed successful negotia
So the relentless on-air badgering about BBCA-HD becomes, in
retrospect, even more annoying.
The main page of bbcamerica.com says "Torchwood" is airing at 9 p.m.
EST [sic]. If they can't even tell time properly, how can we expect
them to get an HD channel running?

I must correct myself --
In fact, DirecTV does NOT list the channel as HD, just as BBCA as they
always have been.
So apparently BBCA has been lying to us all and hasn't given the hi-
def feed to anyone? No cable, no satellite, no whatever you call AT&T.
Feh. I wanted Capt. Jack in glorious 1080
DirecTV isn't either. They list the channel as HD, but I'm looking at
a 480 Standard square picture right now.

I haven't spoken to AT&T customer service, but when setting my DVR for
Torchwood this morning, BBC America HD wasn't a channel listed.
