Hi Ben,
it looks like ata_piix is totally busted and can't find hd anylonger.
The only temporary solution I have is to use piix and blacklist
ata_piix. There is also a race condition at boot for what module is
loaded than can make the system unbootable if ata_piix is loaded

settings-daemon. After I erased ~/.gtkrc-2.0 everything turned back to
normal. This file (defining default GTK2 theme) was setup for QT theme

I can confirm this bug on an IBM Thinkpad X30 when booting from the Edgy
LiveCD.
Initially my wireless interface did not show up at all. Unloading
hostap_pci, prism2_pci, and orinoco_pci then reloading orinoco_pci fixed
the problem.

The pyton crash report was same time as the others. there are 2 others
one apt-get and one aptitude but they are marked with wrong permissions
and using chmod doesnt help, when i figure out how to do it ill add
them.

at the moment, this is just for discussion as I'd like to hear your
comments on this:
dosemu-freedos doesn't work both with the proposed SRU and the original
version present in dapper.
