Thanks Peter, I appreciate it! Since the package is already in zesty-
proposed I'll keep those cherry picks for the next version. I'm
surprised that obfs{,4}proxy don't use a dedicated profile. I'll get
familiar with those an maybe get in touch with your for more Apparmor
stuff :)

Even on Trusty (*without* the -proposed package) I'm unable to repro the
original issue:

On an artful netboot install, the chroot target cannot resolve any
hostnames and fails to fetch and install packages.
$ ping : Temporary failure in name resolution
This is somehow related to the symlinking of /etc/resolv.conf.
# ls -l /etc/resolv.conf
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root roo
The system-config-printer developers have fixed this in the last days. I
have taken the fix into the Ubuntu package now.

I've been able to backport the fixes back as far as 4.7. 4.7 was when
the new vgic reimplementation was merged, and the upstream patchset
would need significant surgery to apply. To fix Ubuntu 16.04's GA kernel
(4.4-based), we'd probably need to develop a new (hopefully simpler)
solution. In the me
