After doing another theme from scratch, and testing 16 more themes, and
everything fails, I'm going to re-send this bug to XFCE guys. The
notification dialog takes bitmaps from the wrong place. No matter if you
specify another source, it ALWAYS gets the gnome / xfce / lxde panel
background. It's im
None. I'll made one by scratch, to ensure it works. The current one used
to work. Alex designed it using parts of another, and it worked really
fine for two releases. Until now, due to notify changes.

with colour definitions or using pixmaps. If the first theme worked,

That dialog works fine in Lubuntu default theme because it has GTK3
support. Those engines you mention are not GTK3, they are GTK2, so the
Update Manager (compiled in GTK3) doesn't work fine with them.

You can reproduce this using LXQt or XFCE4 notifications with Vertex
theme. I must insist it's not a Lubuntu theme specific bug. It happens
with multiple environments, with other themes.
Another question I have is... why the hell is xfce4-notify using a panel
background for himself, even ignoring
If there's any system with this bug we need to fix it. It's not a good
idea turning off the notification system. I'll test on both
environments, updating Box themes (with a re-merge from Ubuntu's Light
Themes) and using Shimmer notify skin. That should be enough.

I removed icons to keep structure more similar to Gnome's. So now all
icon names are the same as in Gnome there's no reason to show a
regression icon within Lubuntu icon theme. Strange. I'll re-check again,

gtk3 applications use wrong color o
Titlebar only "adapts" if there's a window with menus and toolbar
buttons. If you draw a window without menus or toolbars you'll see the
colour difference. We can't do anything to that.

You're right because now, on last Light Themes update, base colour for
GTK2 is also white. Lubuntu hasn't updated GTK2 theme.

There's no bug. Since last Light Themes update, base colour for GTK3
apps is now (near to) white. We can't change base colour because it will
affect to menus, the "window frame" control and "notetab" controls.
Anyway, I'll resync all base themes again before Release Candidate.

For your info. I fixed the Evince (button menus) problem, but ruined
another thing (gtkcombos are related to this menus, I need to balance
them). Also, this was because of changes (again!) on the Unico engine
settings. Let me work a few days on this.

While it isn't fixed yet, revision 380 ensures to whiten menuses and
corrects a few problems. Anyway, still working on this "button-menuses"
control.
