I have tested with only live cd only. Already I am facing issues because of upgrading from 9 to 10.4 (There were no issues while I used the version 9) So I am not sure what will be the issues if I upgrade from 10.4 to 10.10 through the update manager. Thanks R.Natarajan -- [i845G] Crash Afte

As per kurt belgrave's suggestion Today I have downloaded Ubuntu desktop 10.10 (maverick) , and booted the system through LIVE CD option. Now there is no mouse problem, Monitor is visible in the preferences- monitor section, I am able to change the resolution from the default 800X600 to 1024X76
