-wacom 0.11.0 includes a rework of the rotation code. I've backported
it for natty to the x-updates PPA:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates
Please give that a test and report if it (finally) solves the bug.

Will do.
When you fix it, there's another problem I'd like to point out now.
The left edge of the screen is not "active" so that for instance if you set the
panel to "autohide" you can't get the panel to show up using the stylus.
This may not be fixable, this may be a Wacom error.

Thanks Timo; setting to wishlist.
@Susan, for now use xinput to manually rotate the mouse as a workaround.

Ok, so wacom is the only driver which supports proper rotation, evdev
and synaptics only support switching the axis around.
There are a couple of options to fix this bug; make the wacom driver
recognize that the tablet screen has rotated, and rotate the wacom
device as well, or make the GUI notice
I'll ask around what the status is, and what it takes to fix it so that
the pointer devices rotate with the screen.

@Timo, do you know what the status is for getting input rotation working

Hi Susan, thanks no you've done enough testing.
For now, use xinput to manually rotate. We'll need to adjust the
controls to do this rotation automatically for your hardware. I think
we have a procedure for that. But I think we now have all the info
needed from you for that.

Yes, setting the stylus and eraser to setting "1" made the touchscreen
work correctly when the tablet view was set to "left rotation."

Is the issue simply that the input movement didn't rotate with the
screen? I.e. you push mouse up/down and instead it goes left/right.
If that's the case, try using xinput to rotate the input too. Here's a
reasonably easy to follow blog post on how to do this:
