When it freeze, my machine won't recover. Hard reset is needed.

Hello, Archlinux, kde 4.10.2, okular 0.16.2, I confirm I can open
morsa.pdf and see the filled in fields(!), file elefante.pdf fails to
even open.

In response to Robie, As far as i'm aware, a recursive server will pick
a random root name server to fetch the list of root name servers from.
If this happens to be the D root server old ip is offline, it'll stall
briefly while trying to connect to it. Granted it's only a once off and
a 1/13 chance
I know this bug is quite old however it is normally a given that most if
not all options appear in a config file. If they are not needed they are
commented out. I would be in favour of seeing them in there.

I saw some Kubuntu updates come through last night one of which was
related to kde-style-oxygen in some form or fashion. Installed all the
available updates for Raring and this freezing issue with Firefox and
Thunderbird still occurs with GTK oxygen in use. Does not happen with
Chrome browser thoug

Well, I was previously unable to transcode anything in 13.04x64 and
2.6.1. Having shouted at GStreamer for a few weeks I enabled proposed
updates just now and I confirm it works on both my Galaxy Note GT-N7000
and several USB .is_audio_player enabled sticks using Mass Storage. Only

After a reboot I was able to successfully run "dpkg --configure -a" so
that was my workaround for solving this issue.

The "Shift-Ctrl-T opens multiple tabs" problem could be related to the
keyboard key repeat setting. I tried pressing and holding Shift-Ctrl-T,
and LXTerminal opened multiple tabs. LXTerminal should only open a
single tab when Shift-Ctrl-T is pressed, i.e. it should ignore repeated
keys if T remains
I don't have that problem with LXTerminal 0.1.11. However, I have a
different issue.
Pressing Shift-Ctrl-T does open a new tab (just one). But in the new
tab, there is always a "^T" symbol shown before the command prompt is
printed. It looks like LXTerminal is reading the Shift-Ctrl-T as input,

I have just upgraded to oneiric which has kernel 3.0.0-12-generic.
Initial tests with external speed test sites indicate that the problem
remains. One site, speedtest.net, has problems with both wired and
