/boot partition space is not enough (as for Bober-182 and abdillah96-bu), and I get bug #798414. sudo apt-get autoremove (as told by brian-murray) worked once or twice. Now it displays a long error message and update tentative leads to this situation (bug #1207809) without updating system. Did I remove a part of a kernel that was not "old" but in use ? Will /boot partition be automaticaly cleaned in the future (13-10) ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1207809 Title: package linux-image-extra-3.8.0-27-generic 3.8.0-27.40 failed to install/upgrade: run-parts: /etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools exited with return code 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1207809/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
