[Bug 2089145] Re: Backport patch to read actions from /etc and /run

2025-01-08 Thread Andreas Hasenack
Oracular has one regression, and multiple tests in a running state which
I suspect is an incorrect state, given that this package was uploaded
weeks ago.

I've seen this a lot in my shift, particularly with oracular
autopkgtests so far. I'll retrigger the "fake" running tests, and looks
like the failed one was also due to infrastructure problems.

oracular to verification-done-oracular. If it does not fix the bug for
you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed-oracular. In either case, without details of your
testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at

advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)

Installing firewalld

Setting up firewalld (2.1.1-1) ...
update-alternatives: using
/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.fedoraproject.FirewallD1.server.policy.choice
to provide /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.fedoraproject.FirewallD1.policy

the .choice is ignored and was already before the patch

but indeed that command

is working with the release pocket version but erroring out with the
proposed one

This update breaks firewalld:

# firewall-cmd --list-services
ERROR:dbus.proxies:Introspect error on :1.12:/org/fedoraproject/FirewallD1:
dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: Action
org.fedoraproject.FirewallD1.info is not registered
Error: Action org.fedoraproject.FirewallD1.info is not registered

firewalld may be a special case as it ships

/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.fedoraproject.FirewallD1.desktop.policy.choice
/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.fedoraproject.FirewallD1.server.policy.choice

I don't know about these ".choice" files, but somehow this patch breaks
them.
