& restore of / . Consequently the new disk/partition has a different UUID to
the old one, afterwards rather than faff about with UUIDs I modified

Can't help with the exact model, but the memory card in my Sony
Ericsson P1i is read absolutely fine in Ubuntu. So long as I remember
to save things from the phone (eg photos) onto the card, I have no
trouble. Dragged and dropped some mp3s which showed up fine when I
disconnected.

with software, something called Imedia ...This was for windows..
Now im wondering how can i use my remote in ubuntu. does it even recognise the
remote...? can i control something like VLC with this remote? where d
