Just tried the 9.10 alpha3 livecd, and it boots very well, just a bit
slow (it took about 10 minutes to boot) but that's because of the age of

The serial mouse still isn't working out of the box though, but it never

My Neo M54N model (a dorky China-based laptop model)
has a touchpad which used to work on 8.10 and below. It
stopped working as soon as I upgraded to 9.04. Given
that 9.04 has been around for some months I had expected
there to be fewer problems.

I was never able to reproduce this with a recipe, though it did happen to
me several times. I haven't seen it happen in a long time, though.

I confirm that in gdm it works, even if GNOME is loaded and I select
Switch user. And what more, it looks like a gnome problem, because in
XFCE4 everything goes well! So we should probably close this bug as
INVALID and open it in gnome package.

My problem is not like the bug #348332.
I cannot boot my ubuntu machine, unlike the others which have freezes
once in a while,
I also tried other distributions (Mandriva 2009.1, Fedora 11, Sabayon
4.1) but the same problem with the X.Org Server occurred.
I can see the boot splash finish it's boo
