stopped working in the current karmic alpha release. (no monitor is

Hmmm clearing all the xorg.conf and just running apt-get xorg-driver-
fglrx and rebooting for some reason seems to fix the problem for me. I'm
real linux noob so sorry if this isn't helpful :)

I also have this problem on a Thinkpad X61 Tablet which also has 965GM
graphics.
The shadow goes away when a window is moved over it so that the
background has to be repainted. mannheim, can you also confirm this, so
that I'm not saying something that is not true for you?

xorg.conf with exa optinos to device context. More details are in man

would be useful to tally the indirect buffers (the textures and the

Sorry for the very late response. Took me a while until I found the time
to download and try Karmic (alpha 5). I didn't install it, just tried
the live-CD and added a second user. Switching then back and forth
indeed works! So it seems that the bug is cured in Karmic!
