Working for 2 days now on Ubuntu 17.04, updated to your proposed kernel
4.11.0-994
Amazing... working dual 4K now via 2x displayport 1.2 without a glitch on both
monitors for the first time.
Fantastic! And indeed, I hope too, that these fixes will be included a.s.a.p.
I was almost desperate
Asus Zenbook Prime ux32vd laptop. I've got "The system is running low
graphics mode" dialog on VT2, and usual lightdm greeting on VT7 after
upgrading from 16.10 to 17.04.

For now, this is fixed by lowering the recommends to a suggests.

Hey Daniel,
That xmir commit does not fix this issue:) It only fixes the crash. I'm
still working on a proper solution for xmir, which I'm close to
committing.

be closed on the Xmir task at least, until Mir gets a proper fix (LP:

Glamor chooses texture format that doesn't work on Nexus 4
Adding this line to kernel command line disables the hardware
acceleration which badly affects the performance of the system. In my
humble opinion, this might not be an acceptable workaround.
