Unfortunately this bug was reported while running an unsupported kernel
(4.20.0-994-generic) so we are unable to support it here.
Please switch back to the standard Ubuntu kernel and then log a new bug
from there by running:
ubuntu-bug linux

They're just different names for the same things, so these are
equivalent for the sake of testing:
"Gnome on Xorg" = "Ubuntu"
"Gnone" = "Ubuntu on Wayland"
It sounds like you have zoom enabled for some reason. To turn it off go
to:
Settings > Universal Access > Zoom > Zoom (slider) = OFF
Please log new bugs for those other issues.
Regarding this bug about application windows going black, is that fixed
by using Wayland?

Same problem here. I'm using Ubuntu 18.10 LiveCD and from time to time
my Ubuntu just freezes and when it happens my pendrive LED blinks like
crazy. It's hard to recover from it, but yesterday I did. The log it at
