Mine is a GeForce 6100 and my windows are now white now too. I'm not
sure when they stopped being black as I had not tested it in awhile. I'm
not sure exactly when this bug kicked in, but I know it's been around
for at least a couple months.
Without composition the gnome panel tears every once awh
I have pretty much the same problem, except my windows turn black. It
effects both compiz and mutter, which makes both Unity and Gnome 3
unusable.
