modprobe -r usbhid
modprobe usbhid
fixes the issue (until next suspend)
There's probably something wrong with pm-suspend resuming usbhid

Starting directly after the upgrade to precise, left-click stopped
working after suspends. Neither touchpad nor external mouse can do left
click, but both can move and to right-click. Restarting X solves the
problem.
