Happened twice so far - xorg dies with a SIGSEV. Unfortunately hard to
reproduce since this happens out of the blue.
apport.log:
ERROR: apport (pid 28361) Fri Jul 20 13:16:51 2012: called for pid 2289, signal

with 2289 being the X server.

Can confirm that 2.6.35-24 generic on a Dell Vostro 1320 doesn't fix the

Disregard my last comment. GDM's "take screenshot" doesn't query the
video ram, but some internal buffer :-(. Or is there a tool alternative
out there that actually scans the video RAM itself?
