Public bug reported: When i connect another display to my laptop (VGA port) without the mirror screens option and I close the laptop's lid, I expect Ubuntu to detect that there is an available monitor connected and use it as the main screen, but instead it cuts out the signal on the VGA port. I think the same problem exists with a HDMI port. I am looking forward for this fix.
Note: This happens even if i choose to turn off the laptop screen and close the lid. Also my power options are set to do nothing when the lid is closed.
