Argyle, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

This happens to me as well. I am on an Ubuntu 13.04 machine. When mine
crashes the cursor still moves but there is no way out, I have to reboot
with a long button press.

One more note: it seems pcbnew (Kicad PCB editor) crashes only with PCB
with some filled zones when either scrolling or zooming or filling zone.

I have the same problem, kicad seems to crash the Xorg server when zooming or
scrolling around. Usually i can still move the mouse cursor, but p.e.
switching to a console doesn't work. Shortly after the crash, the magic system
request keys still reboot the machine, sometimes even those stop wor

This happens to me 10-20 times a day. I'm a technical user, but not
entirely familiar with what to do to debug this. Any help would be
appreciated, and I'm willing to put work into helping out.
