I get this segfault when I try to create a table. This happens when I
click on "Apply". (I'm also on AMD64.)

I have similar problem with celestia-gnome ver. 1.3.2-3.1ubuntu3 on dapper.
Here is the output:

OK, I got the FTBFS fixed, but it looks like you aren't building all the
binary packages. Installing the produced deb, I get:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of attal:
attal depends on attal-theme-medieval (>= 0.10-0ubuntu1); however:
Package attal-theme-medieval is not install
A quick fix is to add the following include statement to thinkpadpm.c:
