I have exactly the same problem.
Sometimes I get the bug 237339, sometimes this one
and sometimes the laptop resumes correctly (not often).
So it might be that the two bugs are related.
Note that I attached the requested files to the bug 237339.

This bugs also occurs with the default gtk-window-decorator of compiz.
When I disable visual effects this bug does not occur and the desktop
comes back from suspend as expected.

decorations do not appear and a logout from the panel or a gdm restart from the
console is necessary to bring back the full desktop functionality.
