Hi,
this ceased to be an issue since the USB stick got corrupted and would
not longer boot.
A completely new installation permitted sun-java-6.11 to be installed.
My problem now is that network IP and DNS setting are not persistent to
the USB stick.

I am trying to find out why the msg says no space left on device since
there are several GB of free space. The system has about 2GB free space
and persistent has 1 GB free.
