I recently updated my router and I wanted to use http://picorelms.local
to get to picoreplayer version 8 from my Windows 10 laptop, using Edge.
All I get is a blank page. The icon on the tab changes to include the
pCP logo so it is doing something. Connecting using the ip address
works fine.
This may be the wrong place to ask...I would like to use the SDT screen
saver, but I would like to position it more in the center of my 7" touch
screen. Right now it is all at the top of the screen. Is there a
relatively easy way to do this?

With pCP it is either Wireless or Ethernet, not both.

Only when setting up initially, it normally is connected with wifi.

I do sometimes and have had Daphile running occasionally on the same
network. But usually pCP is only system running but still ask on start
screen to select player.

There are no prebuilt piCorePlayers AFAIK.
We have never agreed to any involvement of pCP in any commercial
products. Once money is involved, the fun disappears!

Not exactly sure what you mean.
Do you have wired and wifi ethernet connected at the same time on pCP?

Hello
I am running pCP 7 on a Pi 3b+. It is getting a problem. Every time
I switch on I have a choice of two players and have to choose from the
default
player to the other, usb audio and hw:CARD=DAC,DEV=0 before it will
play.
Has anyone an idea why I have two players and how do I delete the

Hi Jim,
Just my .02 cents. The thing that really makes the RPI players for me is
piCorePlayer. I don't believe you will find a pre-built piCorePlayer. To
slap one together using the official 7" screen, some sort of USB DAC is
fairly easy these days. The WiFi and Bluetooth are built in. There are
Thanks for the replies. It doesn't affect myself because I recode all
music files in advance to prevent hick-ups as the server is busy with
other processes, and I have in fact not had any complaints from people
referencing my package, but I don't like loose ends.

I'll save you the trouble reaching out to Ralphy. I got the details in
a Private message earlier this week:
"In addition to the alac changes we have support to start playback at a
specific time (-j and -e switches) and read files from stdin."
So 3 features:
- ALAC support
- Begin playback

Pleased to say we're back in business. In the end I went back to page
one and reinstalled pCP and,
So you are connected with Ethernet, but trying to switch to WiFi?
What do you get when you run wifi diagnostics?
Did wifi work before, with the linksys router?

I dipped into building picoreplayers when they first appeared. I still
have several that are very functional on my Squeezebox system.
I know the players have matured quite a bit since then.
I could "relearn" how to build one OR...
Are any prebuilt players available for purchase?

The source for the modified faad2 is 'here'

The main difference is that the modified version includes ALAC (Apple
Lossless) decoding and support for stdin.

Intrigued by this topic. What is the exact issue with system supplied
faad2? As far as I can see LMS does not pass any parameters to the CLI
frontend that are not supported by the regular faad2 (version 2.10.0).
