but it does
not seem to work. Previously I had to remove rpi-backlight module at
boot with "sudo modprobe -r rpi_backlight" but if I do that and go to
adjust the brightness I get a message "No offical display Raspberry
display found!" Any ideas? TIA

and that offers quite
a nice finish to anything printed on the first few layers. If you go to
the waveshare website you should find the dimensional drawings for the
screen.

Yeah wouldnt put the PSU in the wall. That why I went with it in the
loft. Mine is insulated and there is a smoke detector up there

arrangements can make a
big difference to separate the rather noisy rpi from your DAC. For my
hifi setup I have 2 supplies a basic one for the Pi and a better one for
the Allo.

the wiki page (towards the bottom) there is mention of mod to drive
the display brightness via PWM on a gpio pin.
