+1 for me. Is there any reason it can't all be aggregate to one file (fluid

(core and ui)...can those be combine together as well -- for a total of 2

I've been experiencing some weirdness since I merged in 3.1RC1 to our code.
On initial load of the portal I get an entirely blank page (in all browsers,
Firefox 2, 3, IE, Opera). If I refresh I get the content as normal. This
also happens when I click some tabs.

Hi,
I noticed that the Fragment Administration portlets hard code the

The word portlet has already sort of been adapted imo...there's wiki pages
with the term all over the place.
I also like the term tab.

I would very much like to see a different default guest layout. I really

AccuWeather.com's services are used in one of the most popular Firefox

U.S. that provide weather entirely free? I will take a look as well in case
we need to run this route.
Also, can any foreign users chime in if they are using a weather service
that is entirely free (like NOAA)?

Hi all,
We have been discussing creating a weather portlet for inclusion to uPortal
3 on the uportal-user list and I'd like to move that conversation to the
uportal-dev list as it is progressing.
Project Objectives:
- A JSR-168 portlet that
- can retrieve international weather and display
I already mentioned my confusion on this in IRC so +1 for me on the change.

You need to edit permissions on the tomcat sh files as wellor at least I
had too.

I am definitely +1 for a simplified directory structure. I can remember when
we first experimented with skins in 2.6 we were pretty lost at first with
the directory structure so I think this would be a great change for up 3.

I thought I might chime in on this...
Some of the older browsers (<= IE6) would cache based on a URL address and
if you changed content and posted back to the same page with the same URL it
wouldn't update. I can't seem to think of anytime the portal would do that
but if it did, having a randomize

Shawn,
Have you considered using a little bit of client-side javascript?
Programmatically you could set the help link that the javascript will use to
replace the uportal generated help link in the jsp page. Then, right when
the page loads the javascript would locate that specific uportal help link
In response to Lenard,
I too originally experiment with tomcat options and did in fact test the
emptySessionPath=true option and it DID NOT fix the problem, we were still
seeing the could not get command object from session errors.

For some reason, he (or manning) decided to not put the chapter on portlets
