Hi all

I just thought folks might be interested. I published a paper on SSRN
reviewing statistical outcomes of various free to use statistical packages.
I included Libre Office Calc. It's not specifically a statistical analysis
package, but it does have various functions. This is kind of a validation
of the statistical procedures of those packages.

The paper is here.

Free To Use Statistical Software: Comparing Statistical Analyses
https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4105959

I compared results generated from those packages, looking at frequency,
means, correlation and regression.

I am happy to report that all of the packages, including Libre Office, gave
the same values in their outputs. So all of the packages have reliable
statistical analysis procedures, at least for the functions I checked.

Thanks

Gene
