I've got an apache 2.2.x server running on CentOS. I've got the
configuration below. When atempting to access my first virtual host
things work fine, when atempting to access a subfolder I'm getting an
error 403 forbidden. I'm also getting no log output. If anyone can
spot my configuration e

This option sounds a lot simpler than first thought. I will keep this in
mind. Also, I'm also running a DNS server in house as well, but, if no
power at home then there will be no DNS will be resolved.

The cheapest way is to point the hostname to your home IP, and set a
very short TTL, say 5 min

Yes I'm absolutely sure. nslookup returns the same IP address for all 3
hostnames.
As to the file system or site authentication, all sites have the same
documentroot, and only 1 doesn't work. I guess that a file system permission
is out of the question here?
