Sorry mate not a C person my self :) From the look of it that function puts
the non HTML characters like <,&,>" into HTML format. Since is
already HTML formatted this function shouldn't affect it at all. But as I
said I'm not the right person to comment on this hopefully someone alse can
help.
I think I have the latest version as I picked it up from the site.
Actually, after doing a little digging, I found that mod_proxy_html by
way of mod_xml2enc parses the html and, ultimately, puts it back
together again. At the time of parsing, it replaces with 0xc2
0xca or something like that.
1. Use rpm or dpkg to check if you have them installed. For eg:
# rpm -qa | grep ldap
openldap-clients-2.3.43-12.el5_5.2
openldap-devel-2.3.43-12.el5_5.2
openldap-2.3.43-12.el5_5.2
openldap-servers-2.3.43-12.el5_5.2
for Debian/Ubuntu use dpkg for example:
# dpkg -l | grep ldap
If nothing comes
Which version? If it is the newest one have you loaded mod_xml2enc too?
Did you look for answer on the module web site?

Hi,
One more piece of information, Apache never prompts me for the Pass Phrase when
it starts with https enabled on Redhat which it supposed to. It prompts me to
enter pass phrase on my Solaris Apache reverse proxy server.

I am using this module to rewrite the contents of html documents. It
appears that it strips which causes me all kinds of grief with
IE. Looking, briefly, at mod_proxy_html.c, I couldn't find reference
to . Unless, it is a setting in mod_proxy_html config file?
Any suggestions are appreciated
HI,
I modified Apache's LD_LIBRARY_PATH to first check /usr/local/ssl/lib before I
recompiled Apache and modified envvars in the bin directory to have
/usr/local/ssl/lib directory listed but no help. Any reason why? Thanks.

Thanks Eric for the quick response. I didn't find anything on this in the
config.log.
1. How to do verify if my server has this library? Any commands to verify
it?
2. And how do I tell Apache to find this Ldap library, if it exists on my
server.
Regards
SS

Thanks for the reply, Rainer. I checked that Redhat comes with openssl v0.9.8e
not 1.x. When I compiled Apache, one of the option that I used is

This time I think I waited long enough so I got some messages from one of two

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I'm considering the rsync option as such;
for i in {1..7};do rsync -auze ssh Source user@$i:destination #on all 7
servers
though i might have a prob if a user edits a document (.doc files) on lets say
ws1 and the other servers sync to it ..
