I find that if I just append the cross cert to the intermediate then my ssl
checkers are happy and all my browsers seem to agree.

I found that I can work around this problem by not returning a content length
from the fastcgi script; the server then appears to use a chunked return and the
browsers seem to be fine with that.

socket; it works very well and decouples the python from the apache process.
I've also used the same mechanism to run fastcgi scripts which also worked
pretty well.
