I did notice that they are in a way different build scenarios, but I worry
mostly about building with JDKs other than 8 (LTS or not, even if we do support
LTS only). Mostly I think it inefficient, having redundant info. I would
propose, and even make a PR if you are ok with it, that the section

Hello
Does anyone know why Gradle projects can't be "deleted" the same as Ant or
Maven ones, by right-clicking on the project and selecting such an option from
the menu? It has been like this for a long time now, and I can't remember if a
reason for it not being there was ever discussed.

Thanks all for your feedback.
I checked the new Oracle license : I understood that I can use JRE on my own
computer, but I can NOT b
Something else to note, if you bundle the JRE, make sure Oracle's new licensing
fits your case. I must admit I don't quite understand it fully, but in the case
of the newest Java 8 releases, it might be something to consider.

Hi, sorry I took so long to respond, here's the last bit of the JDK 12 build:
...
init:
-prepare-mandatory-files-for-module:
[mkdir] Created dir:
C:\Users\Emilio\Desktop\netbeans-builds\netbeans-11.1-source\platform\openide.util\build\classes\META-INF
[createlicensesummary] All tests passed
Like I said, I have the full build logs of all 5 build runs, and a couple of
screenshots, but they are quite big. Should I zip them and attach them to my
next email?

As part of an experiment related to the recent PR I submitted to the netbeans
website, I built netbeans in OpenJDK 8,9,10,11 & 12 (latest versions as of
2019-07-25), simultaneously, on Windows 10 (1809). The results are such that
all but the JDK 12 run were successful, which in turn makes me ask
installed (on
Windows), or the way Netbeans restarts, so if I end up trying to implement this
it will take a while.
If you or someone else might point me at the module or classes that handle that
it'd be helpful.
Thanks,

Hello
I have been wondering for a while if this feature existed or anyone had ever
thought about it. The idea is for someone who has a default JDK that they use
Netbeans with to have the option, from within the already running program, to
restart it with one of the Java platforms registered.

quite right.
We'll be happy to help.
