If you have set OO.o to be the default application to open MS Office
documents, then you can just doubleclick the file and OO.o will
recognize the format of the file and open it with Impress.
If you didn't then you can open Impress through the quicks

in the OS on your computer. As suggested by another user, use the Save

highlight or select the lists (in Writer) by using ctrl +a. Then sort
becomes availbale and carry on.
