OpenOffice supports a lot of connections to existing databases, but a own
database component is a feature of the upcoming Oo 2.0, which is still betha.
So I think you installed Oo fu

I am quite shure this question is asked before, though I can't find it on the
list.
Is it possible to link directly to a KDE Addressbook (without exporting) like
you can do with Mozilla etc.? (If no. Any project running on that?)

Had a similar problem. Could not update existing files on a Windows FAT
partition. Neither with OOo 1.1.3 nor 1.9.100m. Updated to 1.9.104 now it
works fine.
