Hi... I've hand-installed a "Portable" application (http://portableapps.com/) on a Dell Dimension 900 MHz systems running WinXP Pro.
Administrator accounts can load Open Office quickly, but the load time for accounts from the "Users" group are almost glacial. OOo seems to be the only hand-installed app suffering from this degree of lag. What could be causing this? I'm thinking maybe it's the ACLs in the OOo directory tree or registry b/c it was hand-installed by an Administrator acc't. Thanks in advance, /lee
