Second question first: yes. For most features OOo is very
similar to MS. You'll find differences in terminology that
can be frustrating, but I've found that there is very little
that I can't do with open office that I used to do in Excel.
First question:
Formulae - yes
pivot tables
MS Word corresponds to Writer, MS Excel corresponds to Calc, and MS
PowerPoint corresponds to Impress (not Draw). Excel does possess all
of those features, except pivot tables. It probably has that, but I
don't know what it is. :-) Please elaborate.
