thanks again, I have tried "insert" and there isn't an import option as it
is part of the "open" file dialog.
Insert doesn't work, but as this is now a Word problem, I shall thank you
again for your help and move the question to a more appropriate place.

automation routines which created HTML files and inserted them into MS

Actually, using styles depending on how complicated it was might be better,
on the other hand if it makes working in a text editor very long winded then
there would be little point.
Is there anywhere I can read about this?
