Or if you use an imaging editor program that will let you set 
transparency, it can all go on top of the page's objects. Only 
.gif and .png have transparency capabilities, but they work 
well for any program that can place images on top of or behind 
text. With transparency it can be on top so that no part of 
any of either of the texts is obliterated. I use it all the 
time; works well & is quick to create if you need something 
special.
