[users] batch substitute in writer

Hi: Mac OSX 10.6.2 and OOo 3.2.0. Are there any batch scripts that will allow substitution of one text string for another? I have 67 files in a directory, an unknown number of which contain one or more names from a list. These names have to be replaced, so that, for example, Adam is replaced
