Yes, they sold free software, and no it is not a crime. As long as they
follow the license, they can charge however much that they want to.
And this is far more common than you would think. I have seen no end of
magazines that have been run out with a CD filled with software. What

mmm... Are you trying to install the new version into the same
folder? May pay to close down the existing OOo (including
quickstarter) and install into a newly created folder.
See what happens. Remember to include the list on all replies - there
is bound to be someone else that can assist.

It seems that you are not logged in as admin - OOo requires admin
permissions prior to installing.
If you obtain admin rights then try again, it should work.

It is always best to install them into different folders. The conflict
may then be occuring since you had version 1.1.2 still running while
installing the new OOo version.
