Minor iLife '05 upgrade gripe

Bought a new G5 last week, having a ball - noted though it didn't come with iLife '05. Called Apple, was told to go back to my place of purchase and sort it through them. Said place of purchase pointed out that you have to 'upgrade' to iLife '05 (at a cost of $30) via the Apple website. J
