In fact, Baklarz, chief information security officer (CISO) of the American Red Cross in Falls Church, Va., has his staff studying for the same two security certifications that he holds, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC). "It's very important these days," he says. "It's a differentiator -- it gives some indication that a person has some sort of knowledge and cares enough to go out and get the certification." >> For the complete tip, CLICK: http://searchsolaris.techtarget.com/tip/1,289483,sid12_gci863241,00.html >> For more IT Career Expert tips, CLICK: http://searchsolaris.techtarget.com/tipsIndex/0,289482,sid12_tax293144,00.html =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= SOLARIS AND INDUSTRY NEWS The headlines below and others are available on our news page. >> Full Stories: http://searchsolaris.techtarget.com/news/ SUN MUSTERS CLUSTERS FOR SUPERCOMPUTING | CNET Sun is mustering clusters when it comes to supercomputing. SUN SPRINGS FOR TERRASPRING | IDG News Sun is springing for Terraspring, a maker of network infrastructure software. The idea with this acquisition is to put more meat on the N1 strategy and make data center management a little less painful. But road trippers who have Airedales instead of Aibos or kitties that run on Deli Cat instead of Duracell need to make sure their pets get fed while they're gone. Enter the aptly-named iSeePet, a water tank and food dish hooked up to a Web camera. Pet owners can log onto the iSeePet Web site from their hotel rooms, take a peek at the pet dish and use the Web interface to feed or water accordingly. And it's a guarantee that no animals will bite the hands that feed them.
