In general, if it says "made for" the OEM brand on the shaft, it is very 
watered down.

I was urged by someone to dig deeper into the mitsubishi web site and I found 
many answers to my question.  Yes sometimes the specs are different.  their web 
sites FAQ page tells what the difference are and how to recognize an oem from a 
true aftermarket shaft.
