I have read the Horizon Hobby catalog description and the
material at www.fsone.com but I am laft with three questions:

1. How well does FS One represent real live dynamic soaring?

2. What are the chances an experienced thermal and slope
sailplane pilot could actually learn DS on this simulator?

3. Have you or anyone you know actually done just that?

Thank you.

Anyone out there try out the FS One flight simulator? It includes Aerotow, Winch, High Start, Slope, and Dynamic Soaring.

If you were wondering about the aerodynamics and modeling behind the simulator, it's what Michael Selig has been working on for the past few years.

Really cool part is the modeling of the crash damage. It's a blast trying to see what crashes look like inside some of the buildings or hitting the garbage cans sitting on the gym floor.
