Thanks to all of you around the world who joined in with Bozo to chant non-stop "Let Gordy Soar, Let Gordy Soar........" This morning she turned to me and said that for some strange reason she felt compelled to let me go soaring Sunday! I think we may be on to something for all of us married guys. A force equal to the power of "She who must be obeyed". In fact it worked so well that while we were cruising up Hyw 1 in Santa Monica that SHE spotted some planes at the Palasades Slope and suggested that we go up and meet the guys there!!!!! Doug Ruehl and the guys were up there absolutely ripping! Definitely my kind of slope, great lift, tight landings and lots of hot iron flying, foamies kept in their corners:-) A little colder than I prefer though. Doug's one of the new young hot thumbs and his scratch built P51 rips like an F3F ship. Had a chance to see those RC Direct Opus V's. All molded F5B ships with out the electric motor noses. Typical Euro-moldy sleek stuff. Some really nice looking PSS ships ripping too. Didn't have my Synergy along but just being there took the edge off my soaring jones. :-) Weather permitting, a TD contest in the morning and slope in the afternoon!!
