Actually the Bosch motors suck for making winches. The fords had two good features for making cheap winches. 1) the relatively long shaft that you could mount a short drum on. 2) Built-in mounts that can bolt to a simple plate.
The Bosch motors require machining a motor mount. The shaft is long enough to mount into the end of a drum, or onto a coupler. They just happen to be around 13-14 milliohms. A little under the 15 milliohms required for F3b rules.
