i used both a hi-start and a winch. both worked well. on the winch there was some flexing of the wing but i never lanch hard anyway. it is a floater so watch your landings. its a very forgiving bird. on hand launches it seems to just hang in the air and float just above the grass forever. (thats in a 5 knot wind) it's a great arf.:p
