Wow, lots of replies to my request for advice on the mis-charge (hitec charger on JR tx). Even spawned a little mano a mano debate there, sorry about that. As for the charging incident itself, it seems that I've done fairly little damage, though one of my packs may not be what it used to be, a little more time will tell. There was never any problem with the internal fuse, checked that right away.
The potentially damaged battery did seem to take a charge fairly well, once on the right charger. I don't have sophisticated charging equipment, and will not be able to give out capacity numbers on it, but I will treat it with caution for a while until I'm more sure it's reliable.
